SUBMISSIONS

How do I submit an event for on line ticket sales?

Preferred method: send an electronic Press Release to artixpdx@comcast.net. Include a physical (postal) address and attach your screen-res. (72dpi) jpeg(s). We do the rest. Your event is listed on the home page calendar with a link to its unique page at ARTIXPDX.COM with all your Press Release info., pix, links to anywhere you want and most important of all, a ticket purchase interface accepting every credit card in common use. It will post within 3 days. If somehow you hear about ARTIXPDX.COM, would like to submit, but cannot do so online, just give us a call and we'll work something out.

What's the fee structure?

Set up fees: $0.00
Ticket Buyers' Service Fee: $1 is added to the price of each ticket sold.
Producer's Service Fee: 10% is deducted from the listed price of each ticket sold, when payment is made to you (the producer).

Show me the math.

Example: For a $10 ticket the buyer pays $10 + $1 = $11 total. The seller (you the producer) is paid 90% of the $10 listed ticket price = $9. Yes, the higher the ticket prices the higher the producer's service fee. That's because our service fees to our on-line credit card service provider are based on percentage as well.

How do you know who's bought a ticket?

Every order is forwarded to you (the Producer) by email. On-line sales close at 12 noon, the day of your event. All sales are then compiled into a compact list (order number, name of buyer, ticket quantity and amount paid). This is sent to you by email. Keep the list at the ticket table to quickly validate ticket holders.

Can you get special seating?

No, only general seating, but various ticket prices can be set (e.g. students, seniors, working artists, etc.)

Can tickets be purchased with credit card on the phone, by email or physical mail?

No, not if submitted that way to ARTIXPDX.COM - we can accept purchases only through the online purchase interface. However, you (the producer) can take the credit card info. in any other way from the ticket purchaser and place the order online for them. The confirmation will come to the email address submitted through the purchase interface. If the purchaser has no email access, that could be you (the producer) who would then hold the ticket in will call for the purchaser.

If we choose this service for ticketing, is it exclusive?

No, it's your show. You can do anything else you want, and of course, you handle your own comps.

How do we get paid?

When the sales list is compiled, a check for the amount due you (the Producer) is drafted electronically from our account and posted by our bank to your postal mailing address. You get it usually within 3 days.

What about refunds?

If, for any reason, you need to make a cash refund to any ticket holder, you will have to do it from your own account. Also, no service fees can be refunded from us to you (the Producer) for refunds you make to your audience. Essentially the issue of refunds is between you (the producer) and your audience.
