Encuentros Terminales - US stage premiere

ALD is proud to present with support from the Regional Arts and Culture Council
Encuentros Terminales, Luis Arrenquín's newest multi-media
work to music Ernesto Martínez and Ludwig von Beethoven. Arrenquín explores
through striking partnerings the alienation of modern life and redemption of
love.
Agnieszka Laska Dancers will fill out the program with a work from their repertory - to be announced.
Luis Arreguín and Las Pléyades Danza Contemporánea are in great demand
in Mexico. They give about 100 performances annually. CONACULTA (Consejo
Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes - México) is subsidizing the international
airfares for this tour.
Luis Arreguín is one of the top dancers and teachers working today in
Mexico. In previous collaborations with Agnieszka Laska Dancers, first rate
productions have resulted, as well as engaging workshops. Las Pléyades will
be in the Pacific Northwest for about 2 weeks in November, working in
collaboration with Agnieszka Laska Dancers.
