Dance Coalition of Oregon
presents

A Taste of Portland Dance

2nd Annual Smorgasbord of Portland Dance

With the inaugural launch of A Taste of Portland Dance, Summer Solstice 2008, crowd enthusiasm demonstrated a genuine hunger for more samplings of what Portland's burgeoning professional independent dance scene has to offer.

Produced by Dance Coalition of Oregon (DCO), a seminal meeting point for regional dancers and choreographers, A Taste of Portland Dance has grown out of DCO's long-standing Blue Sky Choreographers Series.

Blue Sky is still going strong, and the goal of A Taste of Portland Dance is to open a more well-trafficked path between aspiring, developing choreographers and dancers and more seasoned professionals, that they might better interact in service to their mutual aspirations of creating the best dance Portland movement artists can achieve in cooperation with one another.
